After a period of hibernation, Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham seems to have found his voice riding on the victory of TRS in Telangana. An arch rival of TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, Mudragada said that Telugu Desam Party will face the same fate in Andhra Pradesh as it faced in Telangana elections.
“Telangana has shown its dissatisfaction with the Telugu Desam Party entering its territory. I appreciate the voters of Telangana for rejecting Telugu Desam Party. They taught him a befitting lesson. Chandrababu, if given an opportunity, would have occupied several lands in Telangana,” he alleged, speaking to media persons.
Adding that if Chandrababu were to continue as the CM of Andhra Pradesh, he said that the state will be destroyed and Kapus would never get BC reservation. He must ensure to fight for it, he said. Additionally, he gave a call to all Kapus in the state to attend the Kapu meeting which will be held at Kathipudi in East Godavari district on December 23rd.
The meeting, according to Mudragada, will have Kapu leaders from all the 13 districts and discuss on the socio-economic issues plaguing the community and arrive at a plan of action to compel Telugu Desam-government to act on it. Speaking in favour of KCR on reservations, Mudragada said that KCR was right in pointing out the Centre’s lack of understanding and that it should be done based on the composition of communities in respective states.
